Chucky series gets new poster before premiere in October – {FilesFlip}

Chucky has a new poster ahead of next month’s debut on the small screen. Developed by Kids Games creator Don Mancini, serves the new series as a direct continuation of the timeline of the original film series that culminates in 2017’s Cult of Chucky. As on the poster, a new cast of young actors will be at the heart of the story, but the killer doll we all know and love will return with another original Kids Games stars.

Don Mancini has been a screenwriter in the film series since the original from 1989 and has directed the last three films, including the unreleased remake of 2019. Mancini, also the creator of the Chucky program, also serves as the author of the series adaptation. He also co-produces with David Kirschner, Nick Antosca, Harley Peyton and Alex Hedlund.

Of course, Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky, reflecting the role he has played since the first film. Some of the other original stars in the returning feature films are Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany, Fiona Dourif as Nica, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay and Christine Elise as Kyle. The new cast includes Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Lexa Doig, Barbara Alyn Woods and Devon Sawa.

The official Chucky summary reads: “In the new Chucky television series, an idyllic American city ends up in chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll arrives at a suburban sale. Soon everyone must wrestle with a series of heinous murders that expose the city’s deep hypocrisy and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and enemies from Chucky’s past crawl back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind its mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who has somehow become this infamous monster. “

Chucky will premiere on October 12, 2021 on USA Network and Syfy. Filming was wrapped up in Toronto last month after the series first began rolling with cameras in March.
