An image of Halloween Kills shared by actress Laurie Strode, Jamie Lee Curtis, confirms that Deputy Hawkins has survived his wounds since Halloween in 2018.
A new image of Halloween kills confirms the return of Deputy Frank Hawkins. Hawkins was introduced in David Gordon Green’s 2018 Halloween and was played by Will Patton. Deputy Hawkins was one of the more intriguing characters in 2018s Halloween partly because of his history with Laurie Strode. In 1978, Hawkins was one of the officers involved in the arrest of Michael, so the officer took the escape of the killer in 2018 just as seriously as Laurie.
By the end of the film, dr. Sartain and Hawkins to Michael Myers and stumble across Laurie’s granddaughter, Allyson. After driving Michael around in his car, Hawkins climbs out to shoot him, but wants to keep his patient alive, and Sartain stabs Hawkins in the throat. While Sartain drives away with Michael and Allyson in the back seat, the doctor drives over Hawkins’ body. Given the severity of his injuries, it appears Hawkins is dead Halloween, but it looks like he may have survived.
In a new image shared by Jamie Lee Curtis, Patton can be seen on the hospital set Halloween kills with director David Gordon Green. While praising Patton’s work Threaten and Green, the actress apparently confirmed that Hawkins survived. Say “Laurie and Hawkins. Were they? Will they?‘It also seems tantalizing that the two characters were romantically involved at one point.
Halloween kills takes place directly after the events of its predecessor. However, it will also contain a look back at 1978. The last trailer for Halloween kills shows part of the scene, with Michael Myers surrounded by Dr. Loomis and police officers. This scene will undoubtedly feature a young Frank Hawkins since he was on the scene when Michael was arrested, and it is suspected that Thomas Mann is playing the younger version of Patton’s character. With all this in mind, the picture above confirms that Hawkins not only returned in a flashback, but also survived his injuries.
In the month before the release date of the sequel, Curtis shares many fun behind-the-scenes footage of Halloween kills. However, this image may contain great pampering when Laurie and Hawkins eventually become romantically involved. Hawkins’ return may be controversial, as his injuries in the last movie seemed fatal, but characters who survive impossible chances are a common horror film. Seeing Laurie and Hawkins connected can also be good for Laurie’s character development. After all, very little of her life has been shown over the past 40 years, other than the flashbacks of her daughter Karen. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Halloween kills‘ story, but it looks like Patton will be able to share at least one more scene with Curtis.
